About us
American Legion Post 410 is organization of veterans dedicated to veterans, servicing God, country and family. We are an active post involved in the community. We do numerous events during the year to include 4 of July parades, Chili Cook offs, Las Vegas Nites, Christmas dinner, etc. We participate in local flag cermonies, funeral services, and parades. We are always looking for more veterans who want to get involved to join us. We also have a very active Sons of the Legion and Auxiliary groups. We are also have a Legion Riders group.
Directions to the Post
To get to the Post from Hwy 16, take either PR 37. ( Follow it south for 11 miles to Legion Drive. Take a right and the post is on the left.) Or from Hwy 16, take 1283, go south till you hit a 4 way stop. Take a right onto PR 37. Follow it down till you see 26th St. Take a right and the post is on the left. From SA, take Culebra / /451 to 1283. Go north west till you hit a 4 way stop. Turn left on PR37. Follow the road to Legion Drive and turn right. Post is on the left.

Services to the Community
Hall can be rented for group meetings.
Have a variety of medical equipment that can be loaned out - wheel chairs, crutches, canes, walkers, etc.
Veterans information / help available
Yearly Oratorical contest for scholarship money
Sends 2 - 3 boys per year to Boys State
Visits Veterans Hospital in Kerrville
Earn money which is donated to local charities.

Sponsoring a Little League Softball team - Go Bulldogs!!!!
Assisting Hill Country Elementary School by helping to pay for a School Field Trip.
Sponsoring 2 boys to go to Boys State and giving each of them a little spending money.
Helping a veteran build a ramp up to his home.
Assisting a veteran with paying his bills while he gets backon his feet.
Flag folding and Flag Burning Ceremony for community at the Lakehills Civic Center
Set up Lakehills Parade and BBQ
Donating funds to the Silver Sage, and Arthur Nagel Clinic.
Donating funds to the Boys and Girls Club in Bandera
Donating school supplies to Hill Country Elementry
Donating finds for sports equipment to Pipe Creek Christian School
Our members not only support our efforts at the American Legion, but you will also find them volunteering at Meals on Wheels, The Medina Lake Volunteer Fire Dept, The Food Bank, The Boys and Girls Club, Boy Scouts, Medina Lake Betterment Society, and many of the local churches.
Our events (Chili Cookoffs, June Fest, Poker Tournments, etc) allow us to continue with our efforts to support our communities.
